Spa Day!

Tomorrow my mom and I are finally going to be able to use our Rock Haven spa certificates that Travis bought us for Valentine's day. Super excited to go and I'll report back how it was. Peyton is going to travel back with me because if is cousin Cole's 8th birthday party Friday night. So I should have some fun pictures to share! While bathing Peyton tonight we were talking about going to Stockton and going to Cole's b-day party and she started crying saying "No, it's my birthday!" She's been so excited for her birthday to come next week that everyday she asks. I sure hope that she loves her Carnival birthday! Well, it's bedtime for Peyton so I'm signing off and will post later this weekend about the spa!

Cool morning for some wild animals!

This past Sunday we decided since we were having such awesome fall weather in mid-August we'd take advantage of the zoo. The Manhattan zoo, while small, has so many neat animals. They had a baby orangutang and a baby snow leopard. Here are some pics from the zoo. Hopefully, the nice weather continues, but not likely since today was 100.

Enjoying the fair with Rooks Co. Cousins!

Peyton and I headed back west to Stockton for the Rooks County Free Fair Wednesday, August 12th. We got to do so much fun stuff with Grandpa & Grandma Dix, Uncle Calvin and his cows, Uncle Damion, Aunt LeAnn,Olivia and Ava, Uncle Rich, Tori and Cole. We also got to see Great Grandmas Gail and Dar. We got to watch the pet parade where Oliva and Ava paraded their pet goats, Pretty and Wildcat. Tori and Cole showed off their friends dog and goat. Then we headed to the midway where we all road rides and had a blast. The next day we watched Uncle Calvin show his cattle. We are so proud of him! He won Sr. Showmanship, Overall Breeding Heifer (4-H and Open Class) and got 5th overall Market Steer. That night we walked the fair just taking in all the animals. We also got to watch an amazing tiger show. One of the tigers walked a high tight rope! CRAZY! Peyton thought it was pretty cool. After all this excitement we ended the week with a dance party with Olivia and Ava. Peyton spun one to many times and landed right in the cow pooh!! Sometimes in life it's just easier to laugh about it instead of cry and she was a really good sport about it. We had a blast and glad we got to see everyone. Enjoy the pics!

The last two weeks have been crazy busy and I have a few more blogs to add after this one!! We went on vacation with my brother Damion and his family the weekend of July 25th. We went to KC and spent time at the Great Wolf Lodge and the Legends Shopping Mall. I made a picture scrapebook and then a video. The video is a little long, but has some really funny stuff! The girls had a blast and it was great to spend time with them all.

4th of July!

I can't tell you how awesome a time we had over our holiday weekend. My brother's family (minus my brother) from California came to visit. I hadn't seen them in almost 2 years. We went swimming, did fireworks and they enjoyed watching a true Kansas storm roll thru! Then we went to the parade and the kids had fun collecting all the candy. Here is a little video I put together to share!

Officially love gymnastics

I recently travelled to the National YMCA Gymnastics competition for work and there were tons of vendors selling leotards. I had a hard time finding one that wasn't flashy with metallic colors and foil prints on it. When I got home Peyton asked "Where's my present?" (Yes, I know spoiled comes to mind:-) I pulled out the leotard and she said "A new swimsuit!" So then we explained this was for gymnastics and she couldn't wait to go. Here is Peyton trying on her new "leo".

So as you can see she really loves her new leo and gymnastics is still every Tuesday night. We drive by the building everyday on the way to daycare and she has to say "What's that building?" She know exactly what it is, but just want to hear us say "That's gymnastics!" Then inevitably we get "Can I go to gymnastics?". . . "Not until Tuesday Peyton." then comes the "why?" The hilarity of raising a child!
