I had taken last Thursday off so that Travis and I could work on the swing set while Peyton was at daycare. Let's just say that it wasn't our day! First thing that morning we had a minor car mishap in the driveway. Let's just say that both cars are needing to get some body repairs done:-) Then daycare called an hour after Peyton had arrived and said she had diarrhea! So Travis went and got her. I stayed outside to try and put together as much as I could with just one person. The instructions didn't lie when they said it would take two adults 6-12 hours to assemble. Here is phase 1 pictures and what I got done on Thursday.
Then Saturday Grandpa Mike and Grandma Di came to help us finish putting it together. Grandma Di and Peyton played inside while, Papa Mike, Daddy and I put the rest together. Overall, it went fairly smooth. (Only a few times of "Oops! That was the wrong part.") It took us from 8:30am to 2pm to get it completed. There were a few times the rain came down a little too much, but we kept on! I'm just glad it wasn't 100 degrees!! Then we had to close shop so we could go to our friend Jordyn's 2nd birthday party!! Here is the finished product. (Minus the top tarp as they shorted us 5 screws to finish. :-( )
What started as a not so great start, finished with the most awesome Father's Day and Papa Mike's birthday celebration at "Peyton's Park"!!
The swing set looks great! Glad you got it finished! :)
